Issy & Poppy: The Biscuit Treaty (A Kids’ Edition Adventure)

It was another sunny morning in our sleepy Andalusian village — the perfect setting for a kids mystery story. The olive trees shimmered, the pigeons cooed, and the neighbour’s cat kept a respectful distance — but watched everything, just in case something biscuit-shaped happened.

Here we go..

A Kids Mystery Story Begins

🐾 Dad: Encarni in the village says somebody has stolen a packet of biscuits.
🐶 Issy: That’s dreadful! Theft in our village?
🐕 Poppy: We don’t have crime in our village.
👻 Joey 🐦 (swooping and squawking): OR DO WE?
👻 Master Whisker-Wan 🐹 (hovering faintly): The crumbs of truth are never far from the jar of justice.

Encarni’s biscuits, it turned out, were not a fresh packet at all — just a half-eaten pack of Digestives left on her garden wall. But that didn’t stop the whispers. The village busybodies pointed straight at 78 Calle Fruteros.

🐶 Issy (ears twitching): That’s us!

👻 Enter the friendly ghost of Toffee

Master Whisker-Wan closed his tiny Jedi eyes and summoned the Force. The air shimmered like a heatwave over a teapot.

👻 Master Whisker-Wan: I sense… crumbs. Many crumbs. And the faint whiff of dog breath.

A light breeze rustled the terrace flowers.
🐶 Issy: Toffee is here — I can feel him.
👻 Toffee 🐈 (ghostly voice): If Rayo fails the Sniff Test, then it's him.

There we found Rayo, a big black-and-white dog, wagging his tail beside an empty biscuit wrapper. His face said caught in the act, but his tail said worth it.

And that was that — the investigation expanded to the olive groves. We followed a trail of crumbs past the old fountain, across the sunny square, and under the lemon trees.

🏡 An Andalusian Village Adventure Restored

Encarni soon arrived, shaking her head but smiling.
Later, she whispered to her neighbours, I never thought the greyhounds did it — they don’t like biscuits, do they?

Chispa apologised (sort of) with a big grin and a wag that nearly knocked over a plant pot. We forgave him, of course. After all, everyone makes mistakes — especially when biscuits are involved.

And so, peace — and crumbs — returned to the village once more.
