Meet the Team

The Detectives:

🐾 Issy – A levitating Spanish greyhound who speaks Spanish and English. Loves drama.

🐕 Poppy – Monocled Spanish greyhound. Formal, fair, eyebrow raises can solve almost any mystery.

The Friends:

🐑 Glen – Scottish sheepdog with a thick accent. Drama is his middle name.

🐑 Russ – Lancastrian sheepdog, Glen’s friend. Dry wit. Often confused by Glen.

🐇 Jasper – Bonkers rabbit from South London. Wild theories, sometimes accidentally right.

🐭 Stanley Whisker-Wan – Twin brother. Rounder, scruffier, lazy. Mumbles. Staying home today.

🐭 Master Whisker-Wan – Tiny hamster with pen-lid lightsabre. Very wise.

🐠 Goldie – Goldfish who sings through bubbles and knows all the secrets.

The Village Nicknames:

Antonio Tuerca (Antonio Nut) – Village mechanic. Fixes everything.

José Sombre (José Shade) – Very tall, very quiet. Observes everything.

Antonio Chispa (Antonio Spark) – Full of energy and ideas.

Chapter One: The Walk Through the Olive Grove

It was mid-October in an Andalusian olive grove. The sky looked painted on. The air was still warm, but autumn was creeping in.

🐾 Issy floated upward. "¡Vamos! Let's go! I feel something dramatic today, Poppy."

🐕 Poppy adjusted her monocle. "Let's not jump to conclusions. We're only walking to the cemetery."

But Issy floated toward the olive groves. Silver-green leaves caught the sun, and millions of olives waited to be picked.

Joey the Budgie’s Clue

They hadn’t walked far when Joey the budgie landed on a branch.

🦜 "Oi! Where you two off to? I heard something interesting. Something about—" He whistled mysteriously. "Nah, I won't spoil it."

🐾 Issy and Poppy exchanged a look. Joey always knew something.

The grove grew quieter. Glen appeared, waiting by an olive tree.

🐑 "There ye are! I've been waiting FOREVER. Well, five minutes. But it felt like forever!"

Right behind him came Russ.

"Glen," said Russ, "I told you we'd see them on the path."

"Aye, but I had to GREET them properly!"

Master Whisker-Wan’s Discovery

The tiny hamster appeared on a low branch, pen-lid lightsabre glinting.

🐭 "Stop. Do you feel it? The disturbance in the Fur Force."

🐕 Poppy’s ears pricked.
🐾 Issy stopped floating.
🐑 Glen went quiet.

Something was wrong. Something frightened.

🐠 Goldie hummed a worried tune, bubbles rising gently.

The Owl in Trouble

🐾 Issy floated upward. "There! In the trees!"

Thirty metres away, something silver glinted: old harvest netting. Inside it—a young tawny owl.

Chapter Two: The Owl Rescue Story Begins

The owl wasn’t badly trapped yet. The netting twisted around one wing and part of its body. It struggled in the scared way creatures do when they don’t understand what’s holding them.

Planning the Rescue

🐕 Poppy studied the netting. "We need to be methodical. Frightened creatures struggle. Struggling makes the netting tighter."

🐭 Master Whisker-Wan nodded. "The Fur Force teaches: haste makes waste. We must approach with patience."

🐠 Goldie sang a calm tune; bubbles rose gently.

The Owl is Approached

🐾 Issy floated closer. "Hola, pequeño. Don’t be scared. We’re here to help."

🦅 "Help? Why are there so many of you? And why is one floating? And why is there a rabbit?"

🐑 Glen: "Never mind that now. We need to be BRAVE and CAREFUL!"

🐕 Poppy: "Gary, can you help? We need to understand how the netting is caught."

🐭 Gary the gerbil flew through the branches. "YEAH! Netting’s twisted around the owl’s RIGHT wing. More tangled in that branch!"

Carefully Untangling

🐾 Issy floated up to the branch. The netting was anchored to an old, broken branch.

"The harvest season is starting soon," Poppy said. "If the owl had been trapped then…"

🐭 Master Whisker-Wan touched the netting. "One loop at a time. Patience."

🦜 Joey perched on the netting. "Go this way, not that way, or you’ll hurt it."

🐑 Glen: "I’m ready! For SCOTLAND!"
🐑 Russ: "Scotland isn’t relevant right now."
"Everything’s relevant!" Glen replied.

Ten minutes later, the owl was free.

Chapter Three: Luna

🦅 "I’m… I’m free?"

🐾 Issy floated beside her. "Sí, little one. You’re free. What’s your name?"

🦅 "I… I don’t know."

🐕 Poppy: "Then we shall give you one. Like moonlight. Like the moon… Luna."

🐠 Goldie’s bubbles danced.

🐾 Issy: "Luna, will you come back? At Casa Adora?"

🦅 Luna perched. "I’ll try. I must find my family."

🐑 Glen: "Family’s important."
🐭 Master Whisker-Wan: "Go, young Luna. You carry the Fur Force and friends."

Luna flew into the blue October sky.

Chapter Four: Celebration at the Café

Back at the village café, the men sat in the shade, chatting over tractors, olives, and cerveza.

🐾 Issy: "We should celebrate! We saved Luna!"
🐕 Poppy: "A brief rest might be appropriate."

Jasper tried to eat all the biscuits at once. Joey gossiped. Stanley the tortoise ate slowly. Goldie hummed happily.

Antonio Tuerca shook his head: "Whatever you lot did, it was probably impossible."

🐾 Issy raised her ginger beer: "We saved an owl! Her name is Luna! She promised to visit!"

José Sombre nodded.

Why Luna Mattered: Fur Force Lesson

Sometimes the smallest rescues make the biggest difference.

Luna was one owl in one olive grove—but she was also:

A creature who could have been hurt.

A friend who made them braver.

A reminder that paying attention can save a life.

The Fur Force is about seeing something that needs help—and doing something about it.
