Issy & Poppy Investigate: Who’s Reform’s Stephen Miller?
Stephen Miller rose from immigrant stock to become America’s chief immigration saboteur. A true patriot - if you squint.
We are going after the criminal gangs the administration cited… instead, anyone without a white face must watch out.
🐾 Me: If Reform UK gain power, who will serve as their ideological architect - the equivalent of Stephen Miller in the Trump administration?
🐶 Issy: They’ve summoned The Crumbmaster. A biscuitless spectre drafting exclusionary policy in a bunker beneath Farage’s old pub. Less propagandist than Goebbels, more ideologue like Rosenberg - minus the moustache, plus a fondness for Garibaldis and offshore trusts.
🐾 Me: What kind of influence would this figure wield over immigration and civil liberties?
🐕 Poppy: Total. Reform’s manifesto pledges to “Take Our Country Back” - which translates to biscuit checkpoints at borders and deportation of nuance. Civil liberties are rebranded as “optional garnishes” in the national tea tray.
🐾 Me: Would Reform’s messaging be centralised under this figure, or outsourced to media allies?
🐶 Issy: Messaging is outsourced to a malfunctioning AI trained on tabloid headlines and fridge magnets. Current slogans include:
“Britain Needs a Biscuit Break.”
“No to Net Zero, Yes to Rich Tea.”
“Stop the Boats, Start the Dunking.”
The Crumbmaster edits with a red pen dipped in Bovril.
🐾 Me: Is there a structural analogue in historical regimes - someone who shaped policy but stayed behind the curtain?
🐕 Poppy: Alfred Rosenberg fits. A backroom architect of racial policy - minus charisma, plus a filing cabinet full of angry leaflets. The Crumbmaster channels that energy: ideological, exclusionary, allergic to nuance.
🐾 Me: How would satire and dissent be treated under such influence?
🐶 Issy: Satire would be quarantined. Puns require permits. Jasper’s surrealism is already flagged as “subversive marmalade.”
🐾 Me: Is there a Ministry of Mirth Suppression?
🐕 Poppy: Yes. Headed by a man who once banned whimsy at a village fête. Their motto: “No chuckles without clearance.” Reform’s ambition to “Restore British Values” includes mandatory frowning and a ban on surrealism after 6pm.
🐾 Me: What’s the symbolic biscuit of this ideology?
🐶 Issy: The plain Digestive. Dry, union-flag stamped, intolerant of inclusivity. Hobnobs are considered dangerously multicultural, prone to crumbling under pressure.
🐾 Me: Would this figure have direct control over legislation?
🐕 Poppy: Not officially. But every bill passes through his biscuit-stained fingers. He whispers into ministers’ ears via coded crumbs and once rewrote the Human Rights Act using custard cream filling.
🐾 Me: Could Jasper infiltrate their biscuit vault?
👻🐇 Jasper: Already did. Rewired it to dispense surrealism instead of bourbons. Now every MP receives a melting clock and a Dali moustache with their tea. Viva la chaos!
🐾 Me: Is there a bunker?
🐕 Poppy: Beneath Farage’s old pub. Contains a jukebox that only plays Rule Britannia and a shrine to imperial nostalgia. Entry requires a signed copy of the Daily Mail and ceremonial dunking in lukewarm tea.
Dispatch Received
🐾 Me: Biscuit stocks replenished. Satire levels critical. Prepare next operation: Operation Custard Cream Coup.
This is satire, yes—but it contains more truth than many manifestos. If you’re reading this with a raised eyebrow and a Digestive in hand, congratulations—you still possess irony clearance. But if you nod solemnly at “Stop the Boats, Start the Dunking,” then you’ve tumbled down Jasper’s rabbit hole, sipping lukewarm tea in a bunker lined with Union Flag wallpaper and existential dread.
We’ll keep investigating. You keep dunking. The Crumbmaster never sleeps.
📍 Filed from: A suspiciously fortified shed behind a hedge in Tunbridge Wells. Jasper requests extra custard creams for field morale.
Disclaimer:
I, Jasper, declare: all chaos, custard creams, and clandestine biscuit vaults are entirely imaginary. Any human reading this may experience sudden urges to chase surreal rabbits or draft their own absurd policy. Consume responsibly.

Great work taking serious political issues and giving it a satirical spin through two greyhound detectives. Brilliant.
Biscuits rule, especially Jammy Dodgers.
ENTER FOR THE 1930s.
Fab and very apt given what's going on in the USA.
Thanks for a great read.
