🐾 Issy & Poppy Investigate: The Donor and the Diamond
Expanded Edition: The Chelsea House, the Russian Bride, the NHS Premium Plan, the Psychographic Séance - and the Mayoral Misfire
Case File: Arron Fraser Andrew Banks
🐾 Me: Girls, we’ve got a new case. Arron Fraser Andrew Banks. Brexiter. Donor. Farage’s financial fairy godfather. A man with more offshore connections than a Bond villain’s accountant.
🐕 Poppy (adjusting her monocle): He gave millions to Leave.EU, then called it spare change from his insurance empire. That’s not philanthropy. That’s laundering patriotism.
🐕 Issy (levitating, tail flicking like a forensic pendulum): He owns Eldon Insurance - brands like GoSkippy. Not just business. A data-rich political launchpad disguised as a car quote.
The Offshore Smell
Paradise Papers: Malta companies struck off.
ICO fine: £120,000 for data breaches.
NCA investigation: “No evidence.”
🐕 Poppy: “No evidence” is the legal version of “we smelled something, but it wasn’t technically illegal to bottle it and sell it as nationalism.”
Diamonds & Diplomats
🐾 Me: He met Russian diplomats eleven times. Claimed it was one boozy lunch. Then a photo surfaced. Then came the diamond deals.
🐕 Poppy: Not coincidence. Choreography.
🐕 Issy: He called his book The Bad Boys of Brexit. I call it The Offshore Adventures of Captain Contradiction.
Friends in Chelsea
🐾 Me: He funded Farage’s rent, chauffeur, PR, and probably his ego. Then leased him a £4.4m Chelsea townhouse — furniture, Land Rover, security, crockery included.
🐕 Poppy: That’s not friendship. That’s a boutique populist makeover.
🐕 Issy: If they weren’t lovers, they were co-authors of a political fantasy - styled in Chelsea, funded in sterling.
The Russian Bride Subplot
🐾 Me: His second wife, Ekaterina Paderina. Russian. Visa overstayed. Married a merchant seaman for ten weeks. Then Banks. Right before Brexit. Right before the embassy meetings.
🐕 Poppy: Her father allegedly waved a Communist Party card and warned, “You’ll feel the full power of Russia.” That’s not a wedding. That’s a geopolitical subplot.
🐕 Issy: If Brexit was a movie, she’s the mysterious femme fatale with a passport full of plot twists.
The NHS Premium Plan
🐾 Me: Banks made his fortune in insurance. Farage wants the NHS to shift to an insurance model. That’s not reform. That’s vertical integration of ideology and profit.
🐕 Poppy: The man who bankrolled Farage’s lifestyle also stood to benefit from dismantling the NHS. That’s not policy. That’s a business plan in a Union Flag wrapper.
Opt-In Espionage
🐾 Me: GoSkippy wasn’t just selling car insurance. It allegedly sent political emails to Leave.EU subscribers without consent.
🐕 Poppy: If your quote for third-party cover comes with a manifesto, you’ve been Skippy’d.
The Psychographic Séance
🐾 Me: Banks met Cambridge Analytica. Called it “two or three meetings.” Leaked emails showed talks about micro-targeting UK voters, integrating Eldon Insurance data, even US fundraising.
🐕 Poppy: Steve Bannon was CC’d. That’s not a meeting. That’s a transatlantic algorithmic ritual.
🐕 Issy: If your voting intention was profiled by your car insurance provider, you weren’t persuaded. You were harvested.
The Mayoral Misfire
🐾 Me: In 2025, Banks stood for Reform UK in the West of England mayoral election. Came second, 6,000 votes behind Labour’s Helen Godwin. Called it “epic.”
🐕 Poppy: That’s not reform. That’s rejection with a ballot box bow.
🐕 Issy: Even the Union Flag looked away.
Closing the File
🐾 Me: So what now?
🐕 Issy & Poppy (hovering above a shredded Electoral Commission report and a diamond-encrusted Union Flag): We chase the scent. We follow the money. We howl at the offshore moon until someone listens.
🐾 Me: Right. I’ll brew the tea. You two keep sniffing. If the ghost of Brexit shows up quoting Ayn Rand and waving a Maltese shell company, bite it.
👉 Follow Issy & Poppy Investigate for dispatches from the surreal edge of political satire - where monocles glow, truths levitate, and donors vanish into offshore mist.
🐾 For the hard of thinking: This is political satire, not investigative journalism.

Oh, I must have missed that you’ve pivoted into satire - and what a glorious pivot it is. Issy & Poppy as cosmic greyhound detectives? Brilliant. I’m just off to catch up on the other dispatches. The monocles are calling. X
Impressive. Thanks
Can I interest you in third party fire & theft Sir? Underwritten by Putin Assoc. & emphasis on theft.
